Admissions / Enrollment
The Emerge School accepts children from age 2 ½ years through 5 years of age.
Enrollment is ongoing throughout the year, based on availability. Classes will be filled by children on the waiting lists, taking into account classroom needs.
The desired ratio of two typically developing children to one child on the Autism Spectrum will be taken into consideration for all class placements.
Application Process
A school visit and interview is required prior to your child’s enrollment. The Emerge School staff is proud of our school and invites you to see it for yourself. Please call and schedule a visit. Choosing where your child spends his/her time is one of the most important decisions you can make. Once you have spoken with the Educational Director and had an opportunity to ask questions, you may complete an application for enrollment.
Parents who suspect their child may have autism must complete the autism screening to be placed on the waitlist. Confirmation of autism through standardized evaluation by either clinicians with The Emerge School or another qualified professional is required prior to enrollment.
Admission Timeline
1. Call and arrange tour of school
2. Receive application for enrollment
3. Pay $25 application fee
4. Complete autism screen and pay $125 if necessary
5. Child’s name is placed on a waiting list
6. School calls when a spot becomes available
7. Director meets with family for pre-admission interview
8. Complete autism evaluation and pay $1050 if necessary
9. Family receives enrollment paper work
10. Family returns enrollment paper work
11. Family pays first and last month’s tuition
Fees and Tuition
Application fee $25.00 (non-refundable)
Autism screening $125.00 (non-refundable)
Autism evaluation $1050.00 (non-refundable)
Tuition $1100 per month for full day program for a typically developing child
$3750 per month for core program for a child with Autism (9:00 a.m. –3:00 pm)
$800 per month for core program (9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.) for a typically developing child
We recognize that many families need additional hours of child care beyond the core school day. We offer a full day program for early drop-off and late pick-up between 7:30am – 9:00 a.m. and later pick up from 3:00 p.m. - 6:00pm.
Scholarships
A portion of all fund raising will be earmarked for scholarships.
Schedule
The Emerge School is closed in observance of the following holidays:
New Year’s Day, Independence Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Friday after Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.
